MoxieJean: The Little Fashionista

For an entire year I have had this blog and for an entire year my daughter has been asking for one of her own. She's 6. Uh...no ma'am. But that doesn't mean I can't share with her every now and again, right? Of course I can! So (drum roll please) I introduce to you, the witty, the charming, the fabulous Izzzzzyyyy!

But, whoa, wait a second. Back the train up. I'm all frugal and thrifty over here, buying my things super cheap so I can go out and spend a fortune on the kids? Oh, no no no miss thang, I am not! Plus, we know they're just going to outgrow it all in a year (month...week...day...they never stop growing!) anyway, so why go into debt just to clothe them? I would not spend that much on myself, so I am most certainly not spending that on this messy, growin-like-a-weed, rough and tumble kid!

Day to Night: eShakti

How many times have you guys heard me lamenting over something fitting too short? Plenty! Let's be honest, I never shut up about it. Unfortunately I didn't coin the hashtag #longlegproblems but I do use it frequently...nearly everyday. I am always forced to put something back that I really love because it just doesn't fit properly. So how amazing would it be if there was such a thing as "we design it, you customize it"? What if all those times I thought "Oh I love it, if it was just a bit longer", I could turn those wishes into reality? Well with eShakti, you CAN. Yeah. You can customize their designs your way!

When browsing through the many selections Eshakti has, I was instantly drawn to this dress. I loved the color (green is my favorite!) and the key hole detail was subtle and so pretty. But then (and this is the best part) when choosing my size, I was given sooo many options! I have the option to customize, the length, the sleeves, the bust, waist, shoulder, you name it. I was actually able to make this dress fit me. The end result was this beautiful dress that hits me in all the right places and flatters me in all the right ways.

Lace, Take Two

Yes, I did just wear these shorts last week. And yes, I am wearing them again already. In my defense, I did warn you that they would be worn with unnatural frequency. They can be worn so many different ways. Same shorts, very different look. Plus, I've gotten complimented on these shorts more than anything I've worn, and who doesn't love compliments??

Le Tote: Multi Maxi

Le Tote has made me one happy chick again! I am positively enamored with this skirt...this entire outfit really. I asked my husband what he thought and he said "Well...it's colorful." aka "I don't care for it." But what does he know? Absolutely nothing. 

Trend Spin: Chambray

This week's trend spin was chambray and let me tell you, I know chambray. I've actually laid off of it for a while so I was happy to bring her back out. 

Why? Because I Can!

 Why am I wearing boots in the middle of summer? Because I can. Booyah.

I'm really getting over pieces being taken at face value. A skirt, and a lace one at that, does not have to be dressy. A casual tee, does not have to be casual. And boots are not just for fall and winter! It when you mix them up that people stop being polite, and start getting real. Wait, that's Real World. I mean fun! That's when it starts being fun! 

The I'm-Too-Lazy-to-Put-on-Pants Syndrome

 Happy Tuesday lovelies. It's been pretty quiet round these parts. Hung around with little lady today and we painted nails, did hair and all those other girlie things. We only left the house to watch the hubs play baseball. I don't like sports in general, baseball least of all, but truth be told I think it's sexy. Only when the hubs plays, of course. Something about him hitting the ball and running those bases is super hot. And don't worry, he's fully aware and uses it to his full advantage.

Bad Hair Day? Who me?

You know what I love about a fedora? You can have the crappiest, nappiest do' going on under that thing and not a single soul will ever know. Not to mention how wicked cool you look in your kick ass hat. We've been battling rain 'round these parts (May showers bring June flowers? Wait, what?) and my hair just cannot handle the humidity. Like, at all. 

I ain't even kidding ya. But you plop a fedora on that mess and all people think is "Wow, look at the fab hat on her!" That's my tip for you ladies today, gotta a bad hair day? Throw a hat on that ish!

Happy Wednesday lovelies! The weather here is amazing! After the beginning of "spring" being in the 40s, I am ecstatic to see it finally arrive! I was sweating and I was loving it! No, seriously. I would not go back to that cold, dreary weather for anything! We got to spend the whole day outside scootering, blowing bubbles and playing baseball. And I got to wear my new hat! Yeah!
