Happy Wednesday lovelies! The weather here is amazing! After the beginning of "spring" being in the 40s, I am ecstatic to see it finally arrive! I was sweating and I was loving it! No, seriously. I would not go back to that cold, dreary weather for anything! We got to spend the whole day outside scootering, blowing bubbles and playing baseball. And I got to wear my new hat! Yeah!
My inspiration came from a couple of looks that I mashed together
My take:
Shirt: Old Navy
Cargo Skinnies: American Eagle
Sandals: Tommy Hilfiger
Necklace: Walmart
Earrings: Target/From my sister
Fedora: Meijer
Bracelet: Walmart
It felt wonderful to wear actual Spring clothes! I got this hat at Meijer...like the grocery store Meijer. That is one of my biggest tips when you're trying to save money and shop on a budget; shop in unexpected places! Yes, there is a lot more looking and hunting before you actually find that gem. But, it makes it all the more special when you do. Ask any thrifter, the hunt is part of the thrill. It's like finding treasure! Meijer isn't thrifting but it's good prices and if you look, you can find that one awesome hat.
Oh yeah, and this happened on the way to dance class...
That's my girl! This video sums up her personality. She is a major source of entertainment for me. I have no idea where half the things that fly out of her mouth came from! Haven't decided if that's a good or bad thing haha
You can also find High Heels on Bloglovin', Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest!
I love the new hat! Yay for nice weather - I'm pleased to report we are still having more than our fair share down in the Southern Hemisphere too. Thanks for sharing with WW xo
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm loving it too! I hesitated to buy it because I feel like I look terrible in hats but I liked it to muchh not to try to rock it anyway! :) Glad you've got nice weather down in your neck of the woods; I am so happy to be done with snow!!
DeleteLove this look, its really cute and edgy!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more about the weather! I'm loving the sweating and "worm parties" the little guy and I have been having in the back yard as we dig for the little wigglers!
Aww we've done that too! Iz is all girl but she can definitely get just as dirty as her brothers!

DeleteI love those cargo skinnies you're wearing. And I always feel awesome when I wear a fedora. (I have two!) And you shop at Meijer? I hardly ever hear that. I live near the home of Meijer so it's huge around where we are but I know its only spread to a few states
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I usually forget about Meijer! We have one right near our house but I don't visit nearly as much as I should. Wouldn't have found my $10 hat otherwise! :)
DeleteAlso--welcome to blogging--I didn't realize till I read you're about me that you were new at this, you're doing such an awesome job! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask! The only problem is that I still might have to say "I don't know..." :P
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Rachel!! I have just been trial and erroring my way through it all but I will definitely come knocking on your door!

DeleteThis look really came together! I love olive and darker blues together, and you are rockin that hat. :)
ReplyDeleteAww thanks so much Amanda! I'm always worried that I'm not "rockin" anything and I just look ridiculous but your comment made me feel so much better!! :)
Deletethis is a great outfit! your interpretation is bright and i love all the gold accents!
ReplyDeleteThanks Abby! I'm finally realizing "recreating" an outfit doesn't mean it has to be the exact same...it's fun to put your own spin on it!
DeleteLove this look, fedora-ed head to toe! (I love fedoras on everyone but me :( darn my unusually small head ha!) And why does my walmart never carry things like you wear?! I look....but no...
ReplyDeleteI HATE the way I look in hats!! This is the first I have ever bought and it set around for a month before I actually built up enough courage to wear it! Give it a try, you might surprise yourself!
