No, seriously. I think I have 12 total OOTD posts thus far and like 5 of them have chambray in them somehow. Maybe it's the main piece, or maybe just worn under something but it's there. Maybe I shot myself in the foot by buying 3 of them because there's always one available. And let's be real, they pretty much go with anything! I think I may need an intervention!
Chambray: Walmart $5.00
Jeans: American Eagle @ Goodwill $4.00
Shoes: Target $10.00
Necklace: Target (old)
Earrings: Given to my by my sister
Watch: vintage; given to me by my grandma
Let me just say, this 72ยบ weather is glorious! I hope it is here to stay! It was an absolutely perfect day for opening day at the little league park. Unfortunately, Izzy's game wasn't any better than her practice. She ran off the field crying 3 times. She says she wants to quit. I'm kind of unsure about whether we should let her or not. I've always told my kids that I will never make them participate in anything they don't want to do BUT, if they ask to do something, they have to finish it. They've made a commitment to a team and I don't want them to think it's ok to just quit things and give up. But, gosh! Seeing her out on that field, chest heaving, hollering for us is brutal! Any of you moms out there have any advice?
She may hate it but how stinkin cute is she in her little uniform! |
Because I was craving ice cream Izzy toughed it out and finished the game, we went out for ice cream afterwards.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to agree! haha Thanks for stopping in! :)
DeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one with a chambray addiction! I sooo agree with you, they are just so easy to throw on and somehow they make anything look polished and put together. I love your white jeans! I am tempted to try(?) the distressed look but don't want to pay much for them. Congrats on the find!
ReplyDeletePS. Following you too (I thought I had already clicked the button the last time I was on...but it wasn't showing up on my feed)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wish I had advice for your daughter...but we are just coming into that stage. Our son will just be old enough for sports this summer! So I'm sure I'll be asking the same thing!
I was on the hunt for my jeans for a while also. The good thing about the Goodwill is they get new things in everyday. It's my new favorite store! haha I guess we'll wait it out through a few more games and see how she does...I can't torture her with tball! Ha! And my husband is even worse, he was ready to go home right then and there! Daddys have a soft spot for their daughters! ;)
DeleteLove the white and chambray combo. Those jeans are so so cute!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ana! I was feeling very spring like with such nice weather; I had to dress for it! :)
DeleteSuper cute. Loving that chambray. I looked at Walmart but didn't find any I liked. I'm going to check again! You look great & love the deals on everything. :)
ReplyDeleteBummer! Maybe my Walmart just had an overstock or something. Hope you find one!

DeleteVery cute! I've never worm chambray before because I'm a little unsure about how it would look with my very pale skin, but it does look great!
ReplyDeleteWell, as you can see, I'm pretty pale myself! I think anyone can rock chambray! Give it a try!
DeleteI love chambray too this outfit is very cute and I plan on stealing at as I have all the necessary pieces except white jeans may need to pick a different color, very cute!
ReplyDeleteGive it a try! I would love to see what you come up with!

DeleteI don't own a single chambray. So bizarre! I guess I just throw on my jean jacket when I want a denim look but getting a little toasty for that. Super cute look! American eagle is def coming around with their clothes! Love your shoes!
ReplyDeleteAdrienne

DeleteOh it's so tough when the kiddos want to quit something. For both of my girls I have made them stick it out and am glad they did. They both eventually ended up liking it. Anything new or tough is always an adjustment. Izzy looks so darn cute in her baseball outfit!
ReplyDeleteI can't agree more that chambray rocks and is definitely a wardrobe staple. You also can't beat a $5.00 top from Walmart. You look great! Heather
Well, the coach was looking for one of the parents to step up and be an assistant coach and my husband is going to do it. Hopefully we found a compromise and it'll work out! Thank you for stopping by Heather!! :)
DeleteGirl we are all addicted to chambray! Like why in the world has it just became trendy?? It seriously the best and most functional shirt ever made. I love it paired with the white jeans!
