Why am I wearing boots in the middle of summer? Because I can. Booyah.
I'm really getting over pieces being taken at face value. A skirt, and a lace one at that, does not have to be dressy. A casual tee, does not have to be casual. And boots are not just for fall and winter! It when you mix them up that people stop being polite, and start getting real. Wait, that's Real World. I mean fun! That's when it starts being fun!

So what are some things you wear a little out-of-the-box, unexpected? I'm digging this style freedom I've allowed myself. I've realized that no one was putting restrictions on me but me! So suck it, self! I wear what I want! Clothes are not just something to cover your naughty bits, they're an expression of yourself and your personality. Write that down. Until next time...

ReplyDeletecute hat! xoxo jillian:: cornflake dreams stop by! i'm hosting a shabby apple giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThis look is so fierce!!! I was wanting to wear boots too - I think I've just been inspired! :)
ReplyDeleteReally, this combination has no reason to work as well as it does, but it works REALLY well, and you look fabulous. Pastels can be too sweet, and the boots instantly temper that to where it's just right. It's the narrative. There's gotta be a story. And, an inspired and fine-tuned choice of your top two pieces. These particular pieces wouldn't be too sweet with sandals another time.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of analysis from me before 10am ...
Have a great week.
I love this! And you're right, a lace skirt doesn't have to be dressy, or a graphic tee casual. I love the mix here and the overall result. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this!!! Such a great combo! I'm hosting a shabby apple giveaway and I'd love for you to stop by!
