50 Shades of Grey

Yes, this title was inspired by the book but only because it's catchy and it fit, not because I like the book. I got about halfway through the first book and realized everything seemed a little familiar. Basically, it's a Twilight replica with a masochist instead of a vampire. I mean, if you're going to copy a book, at least pick a good one! Amirite??

Tank- TJ Maxx // Jeans- Old Navy // Heels- Rue 21 (thrifted)

I'm back in school. My semester started this week and I am not happy. I had registered for all of my classes, figured out my rubix cube of a schedule, worked out babysitting; it was all set. Then yesterday, I pull up my classes and it says I'm not registered for the fall semester. Say what?? Turns out all those classes I registered for were for the spring semester. Yeah, that happened. Balancing homeschool and my school and all other mom/wife duties ain't easy when you've had an easy breezy summer. I marched myself down there and got it squared away but it was not a good start to the school year. How many times do you have to do something for it to become a habit again? I know, poor me right? Until next time...

  1. Ahh I'm loving grey right now, and I love the shoes you paired with it. Aaaand I'm diggin your hair too :)

Ugh you made me have flashbacks to when I was in school and stuff like that would happen to me. I definitely couldn't do it being a mom at the same time.

  3. Ha! I've never read 50 Shades and I have no intention of starting. :P

But your outfit looks cute, and if you have to march to school to figure out everything they screw up for you (happens EVERYWHERE, believe me!), then do it in style! ;)

  4. Oh that is so sad (but funny) about your school schedule conflict. It's only funny because I can totally see myself doing the same thing.

Also, I LOVE that top! :)

  6. Oh, I was so angry! I went in there prepared to raise hell and I'm glad I did because the first lady I talked to was just like "Looks like you can only take one class this semester" just so matter of fact. She was so cavalier about me wasting an entire semester. Finally I talked to someone with a brain and he finds like 18 different class options still available so I'm glad I stood my ground! They seems to never know what they're talking about up there and I'm always told something different. I'll be glad to have it all behind me!! lol

  9. I have been registering myself for classes for 3 semesters now and I have NEVER had this problem! I just searched all of my classes as usual and for some reason all of the results defaulted to the spring semester. What the hey diddle diddle?! I didn't even look at the year on them because why would I assume that these classes were 6 months away and not the current semester? Oh, I was MAD and I said a few choice words....but you better believe I got it fixed. I think she could see the crazy behind my eyes! lol

  11. Seriously! You would think that it would be for the coming semester. My husband and I were talking about it and don't know how that could happen. The university that we go to doesn't even have open registration for that far ahead. I'm glad that you got it worked out though. ha... The crazy behind your eyes! That is awesome. ;)

  12. I love your outifit!
It's so true! I thought I was the only one who realized the similarities and was therefore bored by it. I never read past half way in the first one. I was wondering do you work out? Your arms look super toned! You should share your work out routine on the blog if you do (:

  22. I kept telling my husband as I was reading it "This is just like Twlight!!" Come to find out later the author said she was "inspired" by Twilight. Mmm hmm, maybe ripped off is more like it! ;) And I wish I had such secrets, I just lift a heavy 5 year old all day who still thinks she's that tiny baby she once was haha

  25. That Blouse is Gorgeous & I like that a little Necklace is popping through. Gray always looks great with Pink.

I AGREE, BEING A WOMAN who carries the hat of a mom, wife, discipliner plus going to school is a huge challenge. Somehow, we make it though. =)
