Trend Spin: Red, White and Blue

Well, it's the 4th of July! I'm not a fan of red, white and blue if I'm being honest. It's so very unpatriotic of me but there it is. Best I could do is throw on some red lipstick but hey, it still adds up to red, white and blue!

Thrifted Dress / Thrifted Target Wedges / Old Navy Necklace

Our Independence Day plans are pretty standard. We're doing a fireworks show at the park...assuming it isn't totally ruined by rain. It has seriously rained for like 10 straight days. I'm not even exaggerating. And all day there is a 70% chance of precipitation. I'm getting seriously irritated about it. I don't care how many vampires Forks has to offer, Bella was crazy to stay! Until next time, Stay dry people!

  7. Yes, great for flags, not so great for outfits for everyone. (Although little kids look good in r-w-b ... in any color, really) Very sweet-subtle nod without sacrificing your cool. Smart!

  10. I totally agree with that sentiment. I tend to avoid looking like i'm wearing a flag. I completely avoided patriotic colors though, and ended up wearing pink, purple and cream. I love your wedges, and I wish I could find a necklace like that at my Old Navy!

  18. Thank you! I've only just began incorporating lipstick into my makeup routine. Red was the scariest color but it makes the biggest impact!

  19. Haha Thanks, Rachel! I felt like having lipstick be my only red was such a cop-out but that makes me feel better! ;)

  20. That's exactly why I don't like the combination! I feel like a walking flag! I think I might like the combination if it weren't "reserved" for independence day, ya know? Thanks for your comment, Jan! I always like reading what you have to say! :)
