High Heels and Training Wheels: Easy, Breezy

Easy, Breezy

The weekend is gone...womp womp :( This was one of those weekends that don't feel like a weekend at all. You know what I'm talking about? When you're busier on Saturday and Sunday than you are on weekdays. I like my weekends to be chill, fly by the seat of my pants, do whatever I want (which is usually a whole lotta nothin'). This one was jam packed with little league, parades, parks and crazy over-tired kids. And it was a whole lot cooler; sat shivering through the parade in 45ยบ weather. But it did warm up and we had a great time at the park....so boring, I know. Sorry I don't have any great fall-down-drunk stories to entertain you this Monday morning but such is the life of a mom, right?  ;)

Denim Jacket: Aero/thrifted $8.00
Shirt: American Eagle (old)
Jeans: American Eagle @ TJ Maxx $8.00
Shoes: Target $7.50
Purse: Target $7.50
Necklace: Walmart $5.00

Grand Total: $36.00

I (finally) got my denim jacket!! I walked into Plato's Closet for the first time in like 10 years and I was floored by all they had. It's one stop shopping; it's awesome! I don't have to drive across the bridge to Forever 21 and I don't have to drive an hour away to Banana Republic, it's all right there 15 minutes from my house! Holy convenience Batman! I'm totally turning into a crazy bag lady and I'm loving it...thrifty shopping has a certain thrill to it. Who would have guessed that being broke as a joke could be fun?? I think this jacket is going to be the most used item in my closet. I've already got like 10 'fits planned so get used to seeing it!

So now for the boring part that probably no one cares about but me but it's happenin' anyway!

  19. Isn't it nice to have pretty pieces to throw on, looking so effortlessly adorable? Good for you and Plato's closet ... it's an extra advantage to a cute young mom. Never hurts to make a virtue out of necessity, but it's more than that. It's a movement!

  21. I love thrifting too, but the clothes at my local Plato's tend to skew really young. I can find stuff sometimes, but thankfully, there are a lot of other thrift and resale shops around here. I love your jacket!

    1. I have the opposite problem! Thrift stores are few and far between here. All I have is Goodwill, Salvation Army and Plato's. Luckily my platos is pretty diverse. They definitely have quite a bit geared towards younger girls but there's still some to be found for me :) Thanks so much dropping in, I'm glad you stopped by Jennae!
