No Longer a Virgin and Old Lady Shoes

No, not that kind! I have kids smarty pants. I mean, I'm no longer a peplum virgin! I'm actually taking part in a trend while it's still a trend! Watch out! And you know I love my yellow smiley face store; my beautiful cobalt skinnies came from the World of Wally and they were $5. Booyah.

And my old lady shoes. Oh, my old lady shoes. I'm not kidding when I say they're old lady shoes. They came from my aunt. My great aunt. Who happens to be 68. Maybe they were too trendy for her? Yeah, I don't know cause they definitely look right up an old lady's ally to me. But she gave them to me, tags still on them and everything. And I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. Is that how the saying even goes? Yeah I don't know what I'm talking about. Point is, I don't turn down nuffin for free! Nuffin!

Walmart Lace Peplum Shirt {save} {splurge} // Walmart Blue Skinnies {save}{splurge} // Old Lady Shoes (freeee!) {cute option} // Thrifted Belt {save}{save} // Thrifted Bracelet // Pacsun Triangle Necklace (old) {almost exact} {super cute option} // Dollar Store Sunnies  {splurge} // Essie Nail Polish (toes) in Turquoise and Caicos {exact} // Wet n Wild Lipstick in Hot Paris Pink  {exact}
I am on a roll this week with my thriftiness!! I may not be on point with trends, but I am damn sure on point with saving money! I'm going to end up a crazy bag lady pushing around all my belongings in a shopping cart and I love it! 12 dollars. That's all this entire outfit cost, head-to-toe. You are now free to reevaluate your life. Until next time kiddies...

  1. Sigh. Et tu, Lindsey? At 63, I'm close to your auntie's age, and many of us object to "old lady"as a descriptor. While it is undeniably true (again, sigh...)

  2. Ehh I'm 38 and always and forever have been proud to be an "old lady" I've never followed trends or what everyone else is doing. If it's comfortable, I'm wearing it. Love the old lady shoes and that top is to die for precious on you. Oh, how I wish I could pull of those pants but color makes me nervous. (wink) You look beautiful all together; and even better 'cuz it's a thrifty outfit!

  4. Aww Jan! You've got it together girl! I guessed I should have clarified that it's not your age that makes you an "old lady" because you're always rockin it!

  6. Nope, sorry, you can't be an old lady at 38. Nope. You're not. Too young, to cute. Nope.

  7. I'm thinking of maybe "extraordinarily experiened adults." Or perhaps "entirely matured grown-ups" or "extreme citizens".

  29. Really cute outfit, the peplum's are great, I wore a lot of peplum's in the 80's! I had a favorite dress that was peplum over a pencil skirt, so cute : ) Those are cute shoes too, and don't seem old ladyish to me. (now that I'm 52, 68 doesn't not seem old either! )
